On Stage 12 Noon > 1:15 PM

Word of Mouth Productions is proud to bring back to the stage some old friends, Elliott and The Untouchables. They performed at the very first festival held in the parking lot of Yesterdays back in June of 1994 and now they return for their fourth appearance.

Elliott and the Untouchables, from Columbia, South Carolina, perform the "real deal" authentic vintage blues. From jumpin' west coast swing numbers to burnin' slow blues and nasty slide guitar workouts, the Untouchables' repertoire is as diverse and powerful as the blues itself.

The band has performed at clubs and festivals throughout the southeast, including the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, 3 Rivers Music Festival in Columbia, Birmingham Jam, the Charleston Blues Festival, Asheville N.C.'s Bele Chere Festival and on Memphis' Beale Street at Crossroads '94.

In 1998, the Untouchables traveled to Ireland, opening for music legend Van Morrison at the Monaghan Rhythm & Blues Festival. This was the group's second appearance in Ireland, having previously performed at the 1996 Monaghan Festival. The band also played to enthusiastic blues fans at the Blackstairs Blues Festival in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland.

The band has released four CD's on BluePoint Records. Their latest release, Smokin' The Blues is a red hot live CD of original material and cover tunes that showcases a variety of blues styles from swingin' jump tunes to gritty juke joint numbers. Previous releases, Both Ends Burnin', Danger Zone and Last Meal have been top sellers for the BluePoint label.
